Renaissance Women Productions Announces New Series, “Daily Bread”, To Be Released In 2017

Seven millennial women, armed with cookbooks and guns, after the world is darkened by a solar flare, choose to not just survive, but thrive as they work to rebuild civilization.”

Daily Bread 3d logoAfter a solar flare strands 7 millennial women on a farm while shooting a cooking show, they decide to thrive as they work to rebuild civilization, not just survive like others around them.

This faith based, post apocalyptic drama shows a generation, that is tethered to their devices, who are now forced to accept a new reality they have never experienced.

Armed with nothing but cookbooks and guns, they must learn to work together, do what it takes to survive but agree that that is not enough.

Shot entirely in rural Virginia, this new TV series is thought provoking and compelling as three sisters, and the four other women on the cooking show, are forced to see each other for the first time although they have worked together for a couple of years.

Tiffany, the oldest, is the star of the cooking show and is the “Martha Stewart” of the three while Nora, the middle sister is no-nonsense, addicted to her computer games and is much more of a “Sarah Connor” type. The younger sister, Sophie, is the wisdom and balance between the two of them and narrates the story. While Nora was the gopher in the TV show, responsible only for moving and lifting their equipment, in this post apocalyptic world, her knowledge of guns and military maneuvers, she learned playing video games, serves to help save the day.

By the end of the second episode, their numbers grow to 18 and they must get systems in place, determine everyone’s strength, weakness, and what marketable skills they can bring to the group.

The seven millennial women, and all the other actors, were cast from the Washington Metropolitan area through Renaissance Foundation and the project Renaissance Women Productions. The purpose is to find good, undiscovered talent and give them an opportunity to star in either full length features, documentaries, shorts or TV series like Daily Bread. The creator and writer, Nina May says, “It’s the same concept as “American Idol” for singers or “So You Think You Can Dance” for dancers. Our project gives actors a chance
to display their skills in a production in front of and behind the cameras.”

The first season is shot and in post production. Nina May says, “The girls have had a chance to bond and have totally become their characters. They are a delight to work with.” She knows that this project will help launch all of their careers in film.

The crew is professional, but is shadowed by film students who want the opportunity to work with a real film crew apart from their school assignments. They are free to ask questions and encouraged to learn every aspect of film production on a project that will help launch their careers in the industry.

Fast Friends The Amazing Power of Friendship, Fasting and Prayer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fast FriendsThe Amazing Power of Friendship, Fasting and Prayer
By Suzanne Niles and Wendy Simpson Little

FastFriendsTwo uniquely different women discover the powerful bond of friendship, fasting and prayer.
There is power when we pray with others in unity. FAST FRIENDS is a reminder to make time for what matters most!” Alex Kendrick, writer and director of “War Room”

Spokane, WA: Women desire genuine friendships from other women who will hold their concerns confidentially close to their heart, and offer tender commitment to support and guidance regarding those concerns.

Fast Friends delves into the lives of two different women, Suzanne Niles and Wendy Simpson Little, who met through a random encounter. They share their personal struggles and victories, their enduring support as prayer partners, and the faithfulness of God through fasting.

With biblical examples of Jesus, Moses, Hannah, David and Esther, the authors remind that fasting and prayer assists with repentance, breaking strongholds, healing, and growing closer to the Lord. The authors encourage women to partner with a sister-in-Christ to mutually pray with, speak the truth in love, and walk alongside in their spiritual journey.

“As ‘fast friends,’ God called two average women into a relationship that answered the cry of our hearts for a sincere and dedicated support system,” says Suzanne. “Partnering in fasting and prayer helped us experience life-changing spiritual growth, amazing answers to prayer, and a greater depth of intimacy with Jesus.”

Fast Friends offer biblical and personal insight on topics that include:
Fasting to Confess Sin: Prayer and fasting humble us and help us see our wrong doings. Sometimes we know we have sinned, but we miss what to God is obvious. God uses fasting to bring about confession and restoration with His people.

Fasting for God’s Guidance: Rather than feeling anxious when we try to figure things out on our own, we can find assurance when we seek God through Scripture, prayer and fasting, or guidance from the Spirit. (Prov. 2:6)
Fasting as an Act of Worship: During fasting we can turn our attention to our position in Christ. In doing that, we may just find ourselves with fresh wonder and love for Him.
Fasting for Your Marriage: It is our God-given responsibility to pray for our husband daily. If we are harboring any ill feelings or offense toward him, praying and fasting will change him, and our attitude toward him.
Fasting for Your Children: When we are fasting and praying for God to speak to our kids and for His spirit to attune their ears to His voice, we are creating an opportunity for an eternal relationship to grow. Let your fasting and praying guide you as to what to say to your children and when to say it.

How to Prepare for Your Fast: Make a list of prayer requests. Be Vulnerable to Your Fast Friend (James 5:16), (Gal. 6:2). Decide What You Will and Will Not Consume. Rejoice Together.
Other chapters feature: Fasting to Break Bondage, Fasting to Strengthen Your Faith, Fasting to See What Really Matters, How to Be Fast Friends on a Fast-Paced Day, and a Fast Friends 10-Week Book Study.
“We serve a generous God, who is always ready and willing to offer us help, guidance, and wisdom. We just need to ask Him and then wait for His answer,” says Wendy. “When we fast and pray for His wisdom, the waves of doubt will be quieted, we can approach Him knowing that He is the one person in your life who actually wants to hear everything you have to say.”
Through Fast Friends, readers can learn how to partner in prayer and fasting to experience life-changing spiritual growth, and experience amazing answers to prayer, and intimacy with another that bears eternal fruit.

Gospel Broadcast Network Gains Universal Control of Back-office Operation with Myers’ ProTrack

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gospel Broadcast Network Gains Universal Control of Back-office Operation with Myers’ ProTrack

Image_001Northampton, MA, January 20, 2016 — Myers, a leading developer of broadcast management software, announced the Gospel Broadcast Network (GBN) has implemented its ProTrack Broadcast Management System. GBN, an American Christian satellite broadcast network, which broadcasts 24 hours a day, selected ProTrack based on its ability to provide total control over their produced and acquired program content. ProTrack also affords the network the opportunity to better connect with their audience and increase viewership.

Moving away from in-house system processes to ProTrack has provided GBN with comprehensive visibility into their operation. Relying on one centralized system for metadata has made managing and scheduling program content easy and effective. Automating what were once manual, repetitive tasks in their workflow now allows the GBN team to focus on more strategic efforts and their mission.
Mark Teske, Director of Operations & Programming, GBN commented, “Our station reached a point where the need to adopt a more unified means for viewing, managing, and scheduling all of our program content was critical. In ProTrack we found an extensive solution that would not only take our operation to the next level, but provide us a foundation we can scale from moving forward.”

In an effort to keep their audience more up-to-date on program content, GBN will use ProTrack’s ProWeb module. ProWeb will seamlessly produce and deliver accurate and interactive program schedules and descriptions to GBN’s website, making it easier for GBN viewers to engage with network programming.
“We are excited for our product and team to be supporting GBN’s next generation workflow,” said Crist Myers, CEO and President of Myers. “We understand back-office broadcast operations and the need to make it as efficient and as effective as possible for our customers, like GBN. This ardent focus is what continues to inspire us after 33 years in business.”

ProTrack’s ability to fully integrate with GBN’s existing Florical Automation System unifies the workflow by providing a seamless Play-list schedule of primary and secondary events for playout. In turn, Florical will return an As-run log to ProTrack for schedule reconciliation purposes. Also, GBN can now leverage ProTrack’s broadcast management tools to further automate tasks. By using ProTrack’s program template schedule and spot auto-insertion rules, GBN is able to streamline populating their program schedules and breaks. In addition, ProTrack will provide an automated media listings export to Rovi & Gracenote.

Myers will be exhibiting at Proclaim 16, the National Religious Broadcaster’s (NRB) Show in Nashville, TN February 23 – 26, 2016 in booth #851. To learn more about Myers, visit www.myersinfosys.com

GBN is an American Christian satellite broadcast network, which broadcasts 24 hours a day. The network is based in Olive Branch, Mississippi, about a mile from Memphis and the Tennessee state line. GBN’s mission since its first broadcast in 2011 is to bring the gospel to people across the nation. GBN transmits from a C-band Satellite (Galaxy-14), simulcasts over the Internet over GBNTV.org, through its own Roku channel, on Android and iOS devices, and over the air via both low-powered radio stations and one low-powered television station. Washington Public Affairs Network TVW Employs Myers’ ProTrack Broadcast Management System to Increase Efficiency

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington Public Affairs Network TVW Employs Myers’ ProTrack Broadcast Management System to Increase Efficiency

Metadata-driven system will maximize performance and improve ROI

Northampton, MA – Myers, a leading developer of broadcast management software, announced today that the Washington Public Affairs Network dba TVW, has implemented Myers’ ProTrack Broadcast Management System. TVW chose ProTrack in order to leverage their programming content, seamlessly integrate with their existing technologies and enjoy the resulting economies of scale.

“We are eager to start capitalizing on the efficiencies ProTrack will deliver our organization, including the ability to further integrate with our Crispin Automation System via the BXF Standard Protocol,” said TVW’s Director of Information Technology, Scott Freeman. “Creating a more open and bi-directional workflow between the two key systems will result in fewer manual and hands-on tasks, which will reduce errors and save time.”

ProTrack will allow TVW to efficiently and effectively manage program content across their entire broadcast workflow to ensure that content is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. The system’s centralized content metadata improves visibility across departments and systems, since information is no longer siloed.

By automating redundant tasks, TVW will benefit from operational efficiency and a better return on investment. ProTrack’s API will also allow TVW to provide better control over new content as it is introduced. Additionally, TVW will implement ProTrack’s ProWeb add-on to seamlessly produce and publish up-to-date web schedules.

“We are excited to have TVW join our growing customer base,” said Myers’ CEO and President, Crist Myers. “We look forward to providing them with the workflow tools and advanced functionality that their network needs to gain more control and better efficiency, which will enhance their ability to compete in an ever-challenging news market.”

About TVW
Washington Public Affairs Network dba TVW is a 501(c)3, non-profit media organization providing unedited, unfiltered gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Washington State Legislature, Judiciary, and Executive branches of government as well as state boards and commissions, elections, and public policy events of statewide significance.
