Attention Filmmakers: Pitch Your Project or Story to Distributors at Proclaim 18!

Attention Filmmakers: Pitch Your Project or Story to Distributors at Proclaim 18!

Pitchathon 2018Do you have a story, script, or even a finished product? Want to pitch it straight to a distribution company or just get notes and input from a highly-successful film professional?

If you are registered for the Full Convention or registered for a Day Pass for Proclaim 18, you can pitch to four different distributors at the NRB 2018 Pitch-a-thon!

Choose from at least 14 top distributors this year!

During the Pitch-a-thon, representatives of participating distribution companies will be seated around tables. Everyone who signs up for the Pitch-a-thon will have five minutes at each distributor’s table – up to three minutes to pitch your project, and two for their notes. No more than two people can represent a project to a distributor and only one project is allowed per five-minute session.

The still-growing list* of those on the receiving end of the Pitch-a-thon currently includes:

  • SONY AFFIRM FILMS (Rich Peluso)
  • TBN / JUCE-TV (Mark McCallie)
  • SONY PROVIDENT (Ben Howard)
  • CINEDIGM (Glenn Atamaniuk)
  • BMG / BRIDGESTONE (David Austin)
  • PARABLES TV (Isaac Hernandez)
  • PURE FLIX DIGITAL (Jim Schubert / Patrick McDonough)
  • VISION VIDEO / GATEWAY FILMS (Bill Curtis / Karen Rutt / Matt Oser)
  • OCEAN AVENUE ENTERTAINMENT (Chris Bueno / Denise Bueno / Bob Elder)
  • VIRGIL FILMS & ENTERTAINMENT (Craig Van Gorp / Joseph Amodei)
  • COBALT PICTURES (Travis Mann)

In the four years since NRB began hosting the Pitch-a-thon, some pitches have landed deals and a number of participants have received offers for distribution for their films.

The Pitch-a-thon will take place Wednesday, February 28, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville – site of Proclaim 18, the upcoming NRB International Christian Media Convention.

All participants must arrive by 6:00 p.m. and take part in the free “How to Pitch” seminar taught by Hollywood veteran Catherine Clinch.

Registration is required to participate in the Pitch-a-thon. Anyone late for a pitch session will immediately forfeit that slot, which may be awarded to someone else. It is recommended that prospective Pitch-a-thon participants register as soon as possible to ensure a spot with the distributor(s) they want most. Appointments are expected to fill up quickly.

To register for the event, visit Registration for the Pitch-a-thon is completed within the Convention registration process. If you have already registered for the Convention and would like to add the Pitch-a-thon, simply log back on and modify your Convention registration. The Pitch-a-thon registration can be found at the bottom of the page with the additional meal tickets, reserved tables, etc.
