Attention Filmmakers: Pitch Your Project or Story to Distributors at Proclaim 17!
Do you have a story, script, or even a finished product? Want to pitch it straight to a distribution company or just get notes and input from a highly-successful film professional?
If you are registered for a Day Pass for Proclaim 17 or registered for the Full Convention, you can pitch to two different distributors at the NRB Pitch-a-thon!
During the Pitch-a-thon, representatives of participating distribution companies will be seated around tables. Everyone who signs up for the Pitch-a-thon will have five minutes at each distributor’s table – up to three minutes to pitch your project, and two for their notes. No more than two people can represent a project to a distributor and only one project is allowed per five-minute session.
The still-growing list* of those on the receiving end of the Pitch-a-thon currently includes:
- Pure Flix Entertainment (Jim Shubert)
- TBN / JUCE TV (Mark McCallie)
- Bridgestone Media Group (David Austin)
- Vision Video (Bill Curtis, Bill Carroll)
- Parables TV (Isaac Hernandez)
- BVOVN Network (Holly McClure)
- Skipstone Pictures (Johnny Remo)
- Virgil Films & Entertainment (Craig Van Gorp)
- Lionel Chetwynd (Writer; 43 film & TV credits)
- Tom Vidal (Entertainment Attorney; God’s Not Dead, What If, Like Dandelion Dust, and more)
- Ocean Avenue Entertainment (Chris Bueno)
In the three years since NRB began hosting the Pitch-a-thon, a number of scripts have been purchased and a number of participants have received offers for distribution for their films.
The upcoming Pitch-a-thon will take place Tuesday, February 28, 2017, from 7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida – site of Proclaim 17, the upcoming NRB International Christian Media Convention. The Film & Entertainment Summit, which may also be of interest to script writers and filmmakers, takes place the following day on March 1.
Registration is required to participate in the Pitch-a-thon. And all participants must arrive by 7:00 p.m. for a session on “How to Pitch.” It is recommended that prospective Pitch-a-thon participants register as soon as possible to ensure a spot with the distributor(s) they want most. Appointments are expected to fill up quickly.
To register for the event, visit nrbconvention.org. Registration for the Pitch-a-thon is completed within the Convention registration process. If you have already registered for the Convention and would like to add the Pitch-a-thon, simply log back on and modify your Convention registration. The Pitch-a-thon registration can be found at the bottom of the page with the additional meal tickets, reserved tables, etc.
*The representative(s) taking pitches for the company may be other than those named above.
